Head of Supply Chain (3-Month Contract)
At MBP, we are committed to driving our high-performing, forward-looking business where expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement are valued. We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Head of Supply Chain to join us on an initial 3-month contract, providing cover during a period of absence. This is an excellent opportunity to play a visible leadership role in a dynamic international organisation, bringing structure, credibility, and operational focus across logistics, customs, planning, and wider supply chain activities.
Role Highlights
- Contract: Initial 3-month assignment with potential for monthly extension
- Salary: EUR 7,000 to EUR 8,000 per month (full-time equivalent)
- Location: Gouda, Netherlands (hybrid working)
- Reporting line: Group CEO

About the Role
As Head of Supply Chain, you will take on a highly visible, hands-on role with responsibility for managing the day-to-day running of supply chain activities across the group. This is not a consultative or advisory position; it is an operational leadership role focused on ensuring logistics, customs, planning, and related processes run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively on a daily basis. You will lead the logistics coordinator team and supply chain planner, oversee operational priorities, resolve issues as they arise, and maintain strong performance, clear ways of working, and continuity across the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day logistics, customs, and supply chain planning activities across the group
- Manage, coach, and support the European logistics coordinators and supply chain planner
- Review, improve, and document supply chain and customs processes to strengthen consistency and compliance
- Drive efficiency, service quality, and cost optimisation across logistics operations
- Oversee third-party logistics relationships, service levels, and supplier performance
- Support inventory planning, stock count processes, and KPI reporting
- Act as the key operational point of contact for day-to-day logistics and import/export matters, resolving issues promptly and pragmatically
- Champion continuous improvement, digitalisation, and LEAN ways of working
About You
You will bring strong supply chain leadership experience, ideally gained within a complex international, manufacturing, or trading environment. You will have a solid understanding of logistics, customs, inventory management, and process improvement, combined with commercial awareness and experience in transport supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost control.
You will also be a confident and credible people leader, able to motivate teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and bring structure, pace, and clarity to a fast-moving environment. Strong organisational skills, analytical thinking, and a practical, solutions-focused mindset are essential. Business-level English is required (minimum B2), and LEAN or Six Sigma experience would be advantageous.
Contract Details
This role is offered on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension on a month-by-month basis depending on business needs. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time arrangement.
If you are an experienced supply chain leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can deliver meaningful impact from day one, we would love to hear from you. Join MBP and help shape supply chain performance in a business that values expertise, practical leadership, and continuous improvement.
