Sustainable Business Developer

Based in Malaysia (preferably Klang Valley) at approved office location or from home office
This vacancy is a joint call and offer from DIA-Chemical Sdn Bhd (Malaysian Company) and MBP Solutions Ltd (Switzerland based Company) to start up new sustainable market in Malaysia with an EU context with modern working concept.
We are looking for a suitable candidate with specialization in sustainability and with business experience, who is able to play a dynamic role on minimising waste, using renewable energy sources, reducing pollution and creating long-lasting, efficient systems that can be enjoyed by future generations.
The primary goal of a Sustainable Business Developer is to identify needs for sustainable solutions in Malaysian industries, as well as design and implement solutions that minimise negative impacts on the environment.
We are looking for a strong profile with experience, who is motivated by combining the circular economy with creating new sustainable business models and working in an international setting. For the right person we can offer a partner opportunity.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Environmental protection – propose, design and implement solutions that minimise waste, pollution and resource usage to have a lower impact on the planet.
- Sustainability and ESG – assist businesses and the Company in improving the ESG performance by implementing sustainable projects, trades, practices and technologies, as legislation is setting new standards and needs for reporting.
- Collaboration – work with customers, international colleagues, and other professionals to promote sustainable practices in various engineering and construction projects.
- Waste management – develop waste management systems to reduce, recycle, and properly dispose of waste generated by industrial processes and treatment plants.
- Sustainable materials – seek out and utilise processing residue or waste as environmentally friendly and recyclable materials for various applications.
Your main tasks will be:
- Conduct market research and understand customers’ needs.
- Identify and propose projects and business plans.
- Plan, lead and manage sustainable projects and initiatives.
- Project Management, coordinate with all the relevant parties and departments and ensure that all deliverables meet the set expectations and deadlines.
- Assist in energy survey/audit and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysia energy regulation and other international regulations.
- Keep up to date with industry standard best practice and sustainable development at both local and international levels.
- Develop reports, presentations and proposal for all sustainability initiatives or projects.
- Set organizational sustainability targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery.
- Recruit, oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
- To handle all correspondence and administration of license application, ensure compliance and approval from relevant authorities.
Who are you?
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a commercial environment would be an advantage.
- Some experience in business start-up and keen to lead a company in near future would be an advantage.
- Possess valid driving license and willing to travel locally and overseas.
- Able to manage, track and complete all tasks within deadlines independently.
- Drive and a wish to make a difference.
