This year, we celebrate 20 years of MBP Bio Production AS in Norway. We began our journey in 2005 with a small local team. Over two decades, MBP Bio Production AS has shaped the growth of MBP Solutions. We expanded our Nordic Used Cooking Oil (UCO) business through strong local service and supported the global growth of our OMBP service programme. Our company continues to drive progress in by-product management.
From the start, we focused on innovation and teamwork. These values built a strong and sustainable foundation for our future. Our Norwegian team brings skill and dedication to every project. Their efforts improve our local services and expand our global reach. Today, we honour the challenges we have overcome together, and we celebrate our unique culture and lasting impact, both in Norway and around the world.
From Humble Beginnings to Lasting Legacy
ur story began at a historic site in Fredrikstad, beside Norway’s longest river, the Glomma. This industrial landmark once focused on oil refining and oleochemical production for the paper and pulp industry.
At first, the company rented a few tanks to serve local margarine producers and the oleochemical sector. Our small but driven team soon expanded capacity as new opportunities appeared, especially with fishing industry contracts.
A major turning point came in 2005 when we acquired a modern factory and storage facility in Greåker. We also welcomed skilled new team members who strengthened our operations.
Growth and Integration
The acquisition and development of our Norwegian site helped MBP Solutions expand UCO processing and by-product management. We moved from trading to a business focused on production and treatment. This shift laid the groundwork for the innovative OMBP programme. OMBP relies on the flexibility and strength of our Norwegian site and our other locations worldwide. Our evolution attracted partnerships with major clients around the globe. We solve complex waste challenges with technical skill and strong collaboration. These strengths established us as a pioneer in by-product solutions.
