MBP Solutions Sustainability Report 2025: Key Highlights

MBP Solutions is proud to publish our 2025 Sustainability Report, showcasing the progress we have made in advancing environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance across our global operations. Built on our mission of turning by-products into valuable resources, the report highlights how sustainability continues to drive both our business strategy and the value we create for customers, suppliers and communities.

Driving Circularity Through By-Product Management

Sustainability has been at the heart of MBP since our founding in 1999. Today, we help industries transform biological by-products and residues into valuable raw materials, reducing waste, conserving resources and supporting the circular economy. In 2025, we handled more than 356,000 tonnes of by-products and residue streams across more than 50 countries.

Advancing Environmental Performance

A key achievement in 2025 was the continued reduction of our operational carbon footprint. Working with Planet Mark, MBP measured and monitored emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2 and selected Scope 3 categories, achieving a 64.4% reduction in absolute measured emissions compared with the previous year. We also maintained a renewable energy share of 99.9% across our electricity consumption.

Here are a few accomplishments we’re especially proud to share in 2025:

  • Reduction of absolute emissions by 64.4%, well exceeding our 5% target

  • 482.2 tCO₂e total emissions mapped through our third-party verified Planet Mark footprint

  • Guarantee of Origin Certificate of renewable electricity for our Greåker site

  • ISCC Certification of Modern By-Products Spain S.L

  • Zero workplace accidents

  • Zero retractors in our Stakeholder Feedback surveys

  • Highest rating yet in the Ecovadis Sustainability rating

Strengthening Sustainability Governance

MBP continued to strengthen its sustainability management framework through internationally recognised standards and certifications. In 2025, we achieved our highest-ever EcoVadis rating, scoring 74/100 and placing in the top 13% of more than 150,000 assessed companies globally, earning a Silver Medal.

We also remain committed to the UN Global Compact and its principles covering human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, continuing a reporting journey that spans more than seven years.

Creating Value Through Collaboration

Strong partnerships remain essential to delivering sustainable outcomes. During 2025, MBP enhanced supplier qualification processes, supported audit-readiness programmes across its supply chain and conducted stakeholder surveys that delivered the highest satisfaction results to date. Customer, supplier and OMBP surveys reported strong Net Promoter Scores, reflecting trusted relationships built on transparency, expertise and collaboration.

Looking ahead, MBP will continue to focus on improving traceability, expanding circular solutions, enhancing customer support and increasing resource efficiency across our operations, helping create greater value for both industry and the environment.
