Supply Chain Update: European Carrier Capacity During Holidays

At MBP Solutions, we remain committed to maintaining supply chain reliability and transparency, particularly during seasonal periods of high demand. As we approach the end of the year, carrier capacity across Europe is expected to tighten significantly, affecting road transport availability and planning timelines.

Understand the Upcoming Holiday Period

Beginning in late December, we expect fewer trucks will be available because many drivers will start their holiday break. Most drivers are likely to leave on Monday, 22 December 2025, while some may already be off during the weekend before.

Between 22 December 2025 and 5 January 2026, we expect extended lead times and a general slowdown in logistics operations.

To maintain consistency of service, we recommend our partners align shipping plans with the following key dates:

  • Book and load most transports by Friday, 19 December 2025.
  • From 22 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, expect fewer trucks and longer delivery times.
  • For urgent deliveries during the holiday, please book early and plan closely with us to ensure success.

MBP Solutions’ Proactive Support Measures

Our logistics and supply chain teams are actively preparing to mitigate the impact of the reduced capacity window. To support stability and service reliability, we are taking the following steps:

  • Moving open orders to load before 19 December wherever feasible and securing transport capacity accordingly.
  • Proactively planning for all pickups and deliveries scheduled between 22 December and 5 January. We encourage all partners to share any known requirements with our team as early as possible.
  • Coordinating closely with customers and suppliers to confirm site operating hours and explore flexibility in shifting shipments outside the high-impact period when possible.

These measures reflect our continued focus on ensuring that your by-product movements remain timely and efficient, despite seasonal challenges.

Staying Connected

Early planning and transparent communication will be key to navigating this period successfully. We thank you in advance for engaging proactively with your MBP Solutions contact to confirm transport plans and loading dates.

MBP Solutions remains committed to supporting your operations through the holidays and into the new year. To proactively share your transport requirements, please reach out to your Account Manager or Business Co-ordinator.
