As the UN Global Compact celebrates its 25th anniversary, MBP Solutions proudly stands with the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The UN Global Compact has united over 22,000 businesses and organisations. It drives responsible business practices, a global culture of ethical leadership and progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Building on 25 Years of Progress
Last year, we celebrated our own milestone – 25 years since the founding of MBP Solutions in 1999. Read about our journey of innovation and sustainable resource management: 25 Years of Innovative, Collaborative By-product Management.
Our story mirrors the UNGC’s vision: create prosperity for the planet, people and business. MBP Solutions’ operations and business model demonstrate that economic success and environmental responsibility go hand-in-hand.
Our Role in the UN Global Compact
MBP Solutions has been an active participant in the UNGC since November 2017. Each year, we reaffirm our commitment by publishing our Communication on Progress (COP), transparently sharing our sustainability efforts, achievements and future targets. Through this, we align our practices with the Compact’s Ten Principles—human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
The UN Global Compact at 25: A Call to Action
The Compact began in 2000 as a bold experiment to mobilise business leaders for a more ethical and inclusive global marketplace. Today, it:
- Inspires businesses of all sizes to act on human rights, labour, environmental stewardship and anti-corruption
- Drives partnerships between companies, governments and civil society
- Anchors sustainability, transparency and innovation to drive positive change at scale
Despite transformational progress, just 17% of the SDGs are on track. The next generation of sustainable business demands deeper collaboration, accelerated innovation and leadership ready to convert ambitious intentions into real-world impact.
Join us in celebrating the anniversary of the UN Global Compact and to advancing the SDGs together.
