Accountant

Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a hands-on role where accuracy, collaboration and ownership really matter? This is a varied role offering responsibility across day-to‑day accounting, month‑end close, statutory reporting and audit, with the opportunity to contribute to wider group finance activity.

What You’ll Do

As Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate and compliant accounting for the Norwegian entity. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining daily updates and reconciliations of MBP bank accounts
• Processing supplier invoices, payments, statements and reminders
• Completing month‑end accounting activities, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, bad debt provisions and sub‑ledger reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and statutory reports (including Altinn, Skatteetaten and TOLL)
• Completing intercompany reconciliations
• Producing management reports and key financial information
• Supporting year‑end audit activities and working closely with external auditors
• Participating in the group budgeting process
• Supporting Norwegian payroll checks and acting as cover when required
• Contributing to compliance, quality and continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN working practices
• Carrying out additional finance tasks aligned to the role as the business continues to grow

Who Are You

You are a detail-focused, proactive accountant who enjoys taking ownership and working collaboratively across teams. You’re comfortable managing deadlines, communicating clearly and adapting to change.

You’ll bring:

• Solid experience in an accounting role, ideally within a regulated or complex environment
• Strong knowledge of month‑end processes, reconciliations and statutory reporting
• Confidence working with financial systems and maintaining accurate supporting documentation
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
• A structured, organised approach with a continuous‑improvement mindset
• Fluent language skills in English and Norwegian (other Scandinavian language skills are an advantage)
