Technical Sales Manager

Full Time / 12 month contract (with option to become permanent)

MBP is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join our European sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional with 1-3 years’ relevant experience to develop into a commercially focused role within a forward thinking, sustainability driven business. 

About the Role 

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will support MBP’s sales activities across Europe, combining technical understanding with commercial insight. You will work closely with experienced colleagues through a structured onboarding and mentoring programme, gradually taking ownership of defined sourcing and sales responsibilities. 

Your focus will be on industries producing oil based by-products and their application into sustainable energy and technical markets, including biofuels, biogas, biomethane, and related technical uses. You will also play a role in MBP’s transition into value adding processing through a new oil cleaning plant in the Netherlands. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide technical and commercial support to the European sales team 
  • Participate in customer and supplier meetings, offering technical expertise 
  • Support sourcing and sales activities in selected European markets 
  • Develop application knowledge across biofuel, technical and biogas sectors 
  • Contribute to sales materials, presentations and promotional content 
  • Support business development initiatives and market analysis 
  • Maintain accurate information in CRM systems and internal databases 
  • Stay informed on sustainability standards, regulations and industry trends 

About You 

You bring an engineering qualification, curiosity and a problem solving mindset, and are excited by the idea of building a career that combines technical depth with international commercial work. 

Essential: 

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline 
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a technical sales, application engineering, process engineering or similar role 
  • Strong analytical, communication and relationship building skills 
  • Commercial curiosity and interest in business development 
  • Fluent English (minimum B2); additional European languages are an advantage 
  • Willingness to travel internationally 

Desirable: 

  • Experience in biofuels, renewable energy, chemicals, oils, or related industries 
  • Exposure to sustainability frameworks, certifications or regulated markets
