Sustainable Solutions in Action: First Bulk Ship Loading of Fishmeal
MBP Solutions is glad to announce a major milestone. This month, we successfully completed the first-ever bulk ship loading of dry bulk powder. Approximately 670 metric tonnes of fishmeal, from Lunar Freezing‘s factory in Scotland, were expertly loaded onto a ship vessel destined for Denmark.
The fishmeal in question presented a unique challenge, it was produced in 2022 during Lunar Freezing’s fishmeal factory’s startup and commissioning phase. With a new production, new products, product variability and a new market Lunar was looking for people with the skills and experience to match the challenge.
MBP Solutions stepped in as a partner and, after extensive sales and marketing work across Europe, successfully found a solution and enabled Lunar to overcome a major hurdle. This achievement was made possible by meticulous work, teamwork and trust and MBP’s competencies in product and application expertise, supply chain management, international sales and marketing, legal compliance and sustainability.
This milestone showcases MBP Solutions’ dedication to working closely with the customers/manufacturers of by-products to bring together market analysis, supply chain elements and regulatory as well as quality and sustainability certification aspects that are critical in order to bring products to market in an efficient and quick way and achieve optimal prices in the short and medium term.
