celebrating SDG FLAGDAY, 25 SEPTEMBER 2023
The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary sustainability initiative, based on individual Company CEO commitments to align their business activities with global efforts, in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. More than 11,000 organisations in 156 countries have joined this initiative, and in November 2017, MBP became one of them.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Global Compact Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
Eight years ago, the SDGs were adopted to achieve a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable society by 2030. The SDG Flag Day campaign was launched in the Netherlands and has grown rapidly over the past years. Hundreds of companies, government agencies, civil society organization and schools are raising the SDG Flag and celebrating the adoption of the SDGs.
This year, MBP Solutions is participating in a digital form and we are inviting organizations like ours to also participate and be part of a global movement in the name of #TogetherForTheSDGs. By displaying the SDG flag on September 25th, 2023 we can show our support for the SDGs and help spread awareness about the importance of achieving these goals.
