Integrity at MBP Solutions
Last year we went through a process of reviewing and reshaping the way we describe what we do and the way we work at MBP Solutions, what we’ve described before as our Mission and Vision. During this process, we defined 5 core values that sit at the heart of everything we do:
We believe passionately in the importance and benefit of being a ‘purpose-driven enterprise’. Having a strong and clear sense of purpose; setting out where we want to get to in the future; and explaining what we value most in terms of how we all want to work together in this business is – we believe – an essential part of the growth plan for MBP Solutions.
To support our values we produced a simple set of graphics to highlight where and how we are actively using and applying them, called Values in Action, with the focus on what we are actually doing.
Starting with Integrity
The visual we’ve chosen for Integrity is based on a Celtic knot. For us the symbol represents how everything in MBP Solutions should be connected with integrity. We want it to shape everything we do, how we operate and the way we work together.
Our design choice is based on the Triquetra (from the Latin adjective triquetrus “three-cornered”), with three elements linked by a circle. Various historical interpretations are associated with this and the circular element could easily be interpreted as a visual reference to the circular economy, which is so central to our business.
Our Integrity Statement
It’s very fitting that Integrity sits at the top of our Values circle. When David Magnussen started MBP back in 1999, he had a very clear vision about how he wanted this business to behave. The M in MBP stood for Modern and from the start the business has been built around transparency, traceability and innovation. For us and for our clients it is important that we know where our products come from, how they are produced, where they go to and how they are used. Through our open-book approach, our clients can see and trust the way we operate. Working with us they know that their reputation and their brands are being protected.
The value of integrity
Integrity is defined as “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles”. Many companies today cite integrity as a core value. More and more regard it as essential in our changing world. We think that’s great. The more people and companies that genuinely walk the talk the better our world will be; and the more companies and people we will be able to work with. Integrity is a value much commented on. Here is an example: “When you are able to maintain your own highest standards of integrity – regardless of what others may do – you are destined for greatness.” – Napoleon Hill
