UNITING BUSINESS FOR A BETTER WORLD
The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary sustainability initiative, based on individual Company CEO commitments to align their business activities with global efforts, in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. More than 11,000 organisations in 156 countries have joined this initiative, and in November 2017, MBP became one of them.
For 22 years, the UN Global Compact has been uniting business for a better world and now millions of people and businesses are supporting the same cause. We are celebrating this milestone and our commitment to the Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals by participating in the social media campaign It’s Good for Business!
At MBP Solutions, we work for a more sustainable world by helping industries reduce their impact on the environment (environment, economic and social are the three dimensions of sustainable development) – all year round.
We support sustainable development by optimising resource use and implementing circular business solutions. We take industrial waste and residues and divert them from landfilling to energy uses or as fertilizers in agriculture, and we upgrade and qualify residues for use in animal feed to help reduce the pressure on limited natural resources.
MBP’s Sustainability Approach
Since 2017 MBP Solutions LTD has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. In December 2020, MBP Solutions submitted the latest Communication on Progress.
This year, MBP joined the Communication on Progress Early Adopter Programme, taking our sustainability progress to the next level, as part of our commitment to transparently disclose our implementation of the Ten principles and contribution to the SDGs.
Sustainability has been part of our ideological backbone since the beginning, as our organisation captures and delivers value in economic, environmental and social terms.
Our business brings to life the concepts of industrial ecology and circular economy by materialising the idea that the waste stream of one industry can be used as a key resource by another.
The report focuses on our performance, challenges and opportunities and it covers MBP’s entire organisation, including administrative offices, industrial facilities and sourcing operations.
We invite you to read more about SUSTAINABILITY at MBP Solutions in the case study below.
