Celebrating Global recycle day 2023
Global Recycling Day is an annual event celebrated on March 18th to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and encourage people to take action to reduce waste and conserve resources.
On this day, people are encouraged to take simple actions such as separating their waste for recycling, reducing their use of single-use plastics, and buying products made from recycled materials.
The goal of Global Recycle Day is to inspire people to make recycling a part of their daily lives and to promote a more sustainable future for all.
At MBP Solutions, we support sustainable development by optimizing resource use and implementing circular business solutions. We take industrial waste and residues and divert them from landfill for energy uses or as fertilizers in agriculture, and we upgrade and qualify residues for use in animal feed to help reduce the pressure on limited natural resources.
We join efforts with our suppliers, customers, and employees through the UN’s SDG Ambition Accelerator and Climate Ambition Accelerator Programs and different stakeholders to build a more sustainable world.
Circular Economy in Action
Sustainability sits at the core of our business as we work together for a more sustainable world, by helping industries reduce their impact on the environment. We provide our unique service to industries who want to handle by-products in a sustainable and responsible way. What we do has a direct positive impact on the planet and we are fully committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Since 2017 MBP Solutions has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Our business brings to life the concepts of industrial ecology and circular economy by materializing the idea that the waste stream of one industry can be used as a key resource by another.
One example of the circular economy in action is the omega-3 industry where by-product applications enable anaerobic digestion for the production of biogas and the substitution of fish oil in the production of aqua feed for aquaculture. Together with our partners, MBP has developed several new uses of by-products over the years in this industry and continues to innovate across the circular economy in many different industries.
We invite you to read more about SUSTAINABILITY at MBP Solutions in the case study below.
